Veneto is not simply one of the twenty regions of Italy. It ‘s like one big city, where different styles of life are mixed, still deeply united in a common sense of belonging to the land, to its traditions, and in the pride of their roots.
Only if one travels throughout this territory, will understand its true essence. It ‘s a giant suburb, where countries come together in a huge urban expanse, as the writer and actor Vitaliano Trevisan has pointed out. The feeling of the landscape is definitely more American than European, where the historical monuments give way to modern villas and shopping malls, interspersed with long stretches of “desert” made of asphalt.
A strong identity, which comes out in the portraits of its inhabitants, in the affirmation and in the defense of their status, from work to private life.
Il Veneto non è semplicemente una delle venti regioni d’Italia. E’ come un’unica grande città, dove si mescolano insieme stili di vita differenti, ma profondamente uniti in un comune senso di appartenenza al territorio, alle proprie tradizioni, all’orgoglio per le proprie radici.
Solo se lo si attraversa in lungo e in largo, ne si comprenda la vera essenza. E’ una gigantesca periferia , dove i paesi si fondono insieme in un’immensa distesa urbana, come lo scrittore e attore Vitaliano Trevisan l’ha definita. Il panorama assomiglia più a un paesaggio americano che europeo, dove i monumenti storici lasciano spazio a ville moderne e centri commerciali, intervallati da lunghi tratti di “deserto” di asfalto.
Un’identità forte, che trapela nei ritratti dei suoi abitanti, nell’affermazione e difesa del proprio status, dal lavoro alla vita privata.
